Developed by Singer Studios, Trailblazer: The Untold Story of Mrs Benz invites players to step into the shoes of one of history’s most pioneering women, Bertha Benz, and experience the world’s first long-distance car journey, told like never before.
A Journey That Changed History
In 1888, Bertha Benz defied the odds and drove her husband’s invention, the motorwagen, 120 kilometres across Germany, proving it could transform the world.
Starring Daisy Ridley and directed by Eloise Singer, Trailblazer brings this forgotten chapter of history to life through cinematic storytelling, first-person interactivity, and historically accurate environments.

Over three years in the making, Trailblazer was crafted with detailed research to authentically recreate Bertha’s journey, with every element researched to deliver an immersive, educational, and emotionally resonant experience.
Trailblazer premiered at Cannes Film Festival, Venice, SXSW, and Sheffield DocFest, receiving multiple award nominations for its innovative approach to historical storytelling.
The experience was developed with the support of Meta, the BFI, British Council and UK Global Screen Fund, and is available exclusively on Meta Quest.
